A comprehensive digital library platform preserving and providing access to Virginia's civil rights history for future generations. Funded by Virginia Humanities.
The Challenge
Hampden-Sydney College, with funding from Virginia Humanities, needed a platform to digitize, catalog, and provide public access to historical civil rights documents and materials. The system needed to handle complex metadata, support multiple media types, and provide intuitive search capabilities.
Our Solution
We designed and built a custom digital library platform using modern web technologies. The solution includes a robust backend for metadata management, a scalable cloud storage system for digital assets, and an intuitive frontend for researchers and the public to access the collection.
